Person to Person

On the other hand, I’m much more excited to watch this film over Pitch Perfect 3. Person to Person was at Sundance this year and is a film that highlights the stories of more than a handful of individuals – two of which include Michael Cera (our favorite!) and Tavi Gevinson. Remember when she was just a superstar child fashion blogger?! Now she’s in a movie! I’m really interested in seeing this and hoping it does well. The film will be out July 28th on limited release.

Pitch Perfect 3

I must admit, I’m not actually all that excited for this film and maybe even think the series should have stopped after the first one. The original Pitch Perfect was so good. It was new and fresh and not like anything anyone has ever seen before. It reminds me of how Mean Girls has sort of become this cult classic. Ugh, but the second was so hard for me to watch in theaters. I found myself laughing less than I had anticipated, cringing at the racist lines, and wishing that it could have ended sooner. Now that there is a third film, I sort of feel like they are pushing it a bit. Regardless, here’s the trailer.

Neapolitan

Sweater – Madewell / Cardigan – Oak + Fort / Leggings – Aritzia / Socks – Uniqlo  / Boots – J. Crew

The minute I saw this wall, all I could think of was Neapolitan ice cream! It was never my favorite growing up, but what a color palette right? I wore this during a San Francisco winter day that wasn’t so blistery for a day of shopping and a movie… another personal uniform of mine! We’re gearing up for a move to San Francisco next month (more on that soon!) and I can’t wait to have all the backdrops of the city ready for me!

To The Bone

Films about eating disorders will always make me a little bit uncomfortable. But at the end of the day, they are so important. It’s important for people to hear the stories, to know what it’s like, and what it feels like. I’ve been interested in these types of films lately because Lily Collins and Troian Bellisario are both staring in them and have both had eating disorders themselves so I know that the stories that they are portraying have a lot to do with their own experiences. I’m looking forward to seeing both their takes on it.
