One of my favorite trends to look back on is the Ugg boot. Second place? The Juicy Couture sweatsuits. These staples were iconic and they weren’t just trends; they were staples. Everyone you knew had one and if you didn’t, you were on the outs. What I love about the Ugg is that while they weren’t always the most visually pleasing, they were comfy as hell. Before I owned actual Uggs, I had knockoffs and when I purchased the real ones from Nordstrom, I was ecstatic. In fact, they’re staring at me right now from my living room. They’re the most basic of basics, but I can’t knock the Ugg brand for trying something different.
Partnering with French label Y/Project, they created a thigh-high Ugg boot that debuted at Men’s fashion week in Paris this past Wednesday. So what do we think? Still ultra cozy? Would you wear it? Which pair is your favorite and who’s the ideal person that can pull this off?
