“thank u, next” is the breakup anthem we always wanted, but never had until now. At first listen, it seems like a simple tune. You feel like you’re listening to her story about her breakup(s) but aren’t really sure where to take it from here. Is this a song you can sing along to? Can choreography be put to it? A second or third listen will tell you that there’s more to this story. Trust – I’ve listened to a lot of breakup songs.
