Prior to the sale, quite a few people mentioned to me that they didn’t think the selection was great. In my opinion, that’s a good thing because then you get to focus on the few gems that are there and you don’t over shop. Ahead of the sale, I also posted some of my picks and at the time, I didn’t even know if or how I would participate. This past Thursday, I was lucky to have the day off and decided to shop in-person and online. There’s a reason for that, I promise! This was my first experience shopping in stores since the pandemic and admittedly, I was a bit nervous. I’m the kind of shopper that needs to see and feel the clothes and try them on in a dressing room. Pick-up just wasn’t going to be an option. To minimize some risk, I decided to go right when the store opened. Since it was a morning weekday, it wasn’t crowded at all and I was able to maintain distance. Here’s all that we purchased… and then some!
[Zella High Waist Studio Pocket 7/8 Leggings] – Originally: $65 // Sale Price: $42.90
Even though I made several different purchases within the store that day in different departments, I had forgotten to use my $20 note! To my surprise, no one even asked me for it. I ended up buying these leggings once I got home with the note and though I didn’t try them on, I figured there’s no way I wouldn’t like them or find a use for them.

It’s an unnecessary purchase, but one that brings me joy.
[BLONDO Waterproof Hiker Boot] – Originally: $175.95 // Sale Price: $99.90
It’s hard to justify buying shoes these days especially when you’re not out and about as much. However, I don’t feel like you can go wrong with waterproof boots. These aren’t my usual style, but I have been looking for something a bit edgier. I imagined wearing this with some of my dresses transitioning into fall and with lighter jackets.
[Topshop Long Sleeve Knit Midi Dress] – Originally: $55 // Sale Price: $35.90
When I looked for this dress after coming home from the sale, I wasn’t even able to search it! Today it looks like there is only one left, in black, in one size. I suggest just coming back to this page to see if it will be restocked or checking in stores. This is easily one of the best purchases I made that day though because it is one of the softest dresses I own. It’s going to be perfect for fall and under a leather jacket, which I also purchased! It also has a slit on one side.
[BLANKNYC Good Vibes Faux Leather Moto Jacket] – Originally: $98 // Sale Price: $56.90
Purchasing a leather jacket from the sale didn’t even cross my mind! I initially had seen the dress (above) and thought pairing it with a leather jacket might be a decent outfit. However, after trying both this one on and one by Treasure & Bond, I landed on this. BLANKNYC had a good fit and a better price point within my budget.
[Rag & Bone Nina High Waist Ankle Skinny Jeans] – Originally: $195 // Sale Price: $129.90
Denim also didn’t make the cut for our wish list, but here we are. I needed to try on a basic pair that day because I wore a dress to the sale and I planned on trying on the tops. I didn’t have any intention on buying new jeans, but these were such a good fit and a pretty great deal in itself.
[Zella Girl Supersoft Side Tie Hoodie] – Originally: $39 // Sale Price: $24.90
I’m typically in the camp where I believe I’m too old to be shopping in the kids section, but if the clothes fit and you prefer the price, do you really have too much pride? Initially, I was after the hoodie with the front twist, but after trying it on, I preferred this side tie way more. This is totally a lounge wear piece and something cozy for home.
[Vince Camuto Winderly Ankle Strap Sandal] – Originally: $99.95 // Sale Price: $49.90
I purchased a pale of Sam Edelman heels like this one earlier this year for a wedding I was going to be in. After a few wears, I was starting to doubt if I’d ever be able to successfully break them in. These Vince Camuto’s were not on my wish list, but since they were half off, I had to try them. If it worked out, they could likely take the place of my Sam Edelman’s. I have a handful of shoes already by Vince Camuto so it’s no surprise that these would also not disappoint.
To be clear, we never go this hard on a shopping trip. And after this one, we’ll be putting the shopping on hold for a very long time.
