Growing up, Monopoly was one of my favorite childhood games. I loved it even more when I could play it alongside with one of my favorite fast food chains. There was never a chance of my family and I ever winning, but it was fun to try or at least still collect the pieces. I always knew how seriously people would take McDonalds Monopoly, but never read up on the scandal that took place. I’m really excited to see this all go down on HBO when the six-part series debuts February 3rd.

“Don’t Be A Dick About It” Trailer

In things that made me laugh out loud today… this movie trailer about two brothers. The trailer alone wasn’t long enough for me because I was ready to consume this documentary right off the bat. Kevin and I definitely don’t have a sibling relationship like these two, but I think we’re quite quirky in our own ways. We also somehow manage to irritate each other over the dumbest things, but like my mother says – “you can’t get rid of your brother.”

A Collection Part 56

Somehow we’ve really nailed the timing of these posts and every time we’re due for one it’s right around New Year’s! But if I’m being honest, the New Year is when I’m feeling my most creative and inspired. These photographs represent that and my current state of feelings. I can’t believe this is the 56th post for “A Collection!” It’s not a significant number by any means; I’m just amazed we’ve had this many.

I love going back and visiting A Collection 1-10 or 10-20 because even those represent a much different time than how I feel presently. In a way, these happen to be my own personal journals, but written in the form of other people’s photos.

May your new year and new decade be full of life, simplicity, and joy.

Happy New Year everyone! This is still one of those posts that is such a wild card to me every year. For as long as I’ve had Yow Yow! you would think that I would know better about what types of posts do well and don’t. After 11 years, I still haven’t cracked it and I think that’s because we’ve changed so much over the years.

End of Year Roundup

It’s New Year’s Eve and I’m enjoying such a peaceful day back home in San Francisco. I woke up this morning with a tickle in my throat so I’m still debating if evening plans are in the cards for me. Last year, I was in Seattle and attended a house party of one of my best friends. Since I missed my 10 year high school reunion, this was our version of it! While last year got a little bit rowdy, there’s something really special about the idea of having a quiet night in. Of course, if you know me, then you know we have these nights all the time! I am hydrating up because I actually think it could be lovely to venture out to a house party tonight and in a new dress! It will likely be a last minute decision!

Since we’re not only reaching the end of 2019 and the end of a decade, I’m loving everyone’s round up posts. Here a just a couple of my favorites that I’m sharing with you all!

Wedding Mondays

Since I’m on my holiday vacation, I finally have some time to share the posts that I want to share! We haven’t been consistent with Wedding Mondays in the last year and that may be for a couple of reasons. Wedding videos are getting to be a lot longer! They pile up for me at the end of every week and instead of looking forward to them like I used to, Wedding Mondays feels like a chore. I’m into my 2nd week of vacation though and tonight, the idea of wedding videos felt calming to me. As the years go on, I become a bit pickier. I’m surprised at how quickly this caught my attention and became the one I wanted to post though.

From Lily’s dress to the Southwestern wedding venue, every detail seemed like a dream. It looked like the type of party you wanted to go to. It’s a celebration, but casual and not too stuffy the way some weddings often times feel. You never hear Lily and David speak in this video, but from their interactions and body language, you can tell that they are a fun and playful couple.

For all of the details, I highly recommend checking out their post on [Green Wedding Shoes]
