The girl gets a lot of heat as being titled the “frenemy” on The City, but fortunately for me, I haven’t really watched the show so I can still like her and her clothes. I feel like a lot of people might say her looks are very similar but to me I see more opportunities with my blazer. She has the most classic look out of everyone I’ve featured so far and I love that she reuses her stuff instead of disposing like some people do.

Banana Republic Seamed Ponte Fit and Flare V-Neck Dress – $130
It’s that time of the year! For the first time ever, I’m attending a holiday party for my company and this time – it won’t be in some sketchy dive bar in the middle of nowhere. I can toss that horrible, ugly, and itchy Christmas sweater aside and put on my favorite new dress for the season. Of course, I don’t own one yet, but that’s why we’re on the hunt! I actually helped a co-worker of mine find her dress before I found one and it looks fabulous. Job well done. Now, here are some options for both you and I!
It may sound hard to believe, but living in a dorm room was definitely a huge factor that helped contribute to my overall college experience. Coming into college, it was much different than what I had expected or what I had been used to. In a dorm, you are just a two minute walk away from your classes. You are one step away from your neighbors and best friends. However, even though I lived in a dorm, I was never able to make it my home. I think it was because I always knew that it wasn’t permanent and that I would leave it at the end of the year. I was also just lazy.
But I was amazed to find that Drew University student Maximilion Sinsteden was able to turn his average dorm room into what looks like a very cozy studio. Check out the rest of his place here.
We didn’t intend to be as late on this post as we actually are, but unfortunately, we’ve just been a little bit under the weather. Also, if I’m being honest, I was actually dreading writing this post for the longest time because I knew how these stats would look and I wasn’t particularly excited about them. In 2015, these are the most dismal numbers we’ve ever seen. But instead of throwing ourselves a pity party, we’re going to share the numbers and then we’re going to move forward because I paid for another year on this domain and we’re not going to let it go to waste. I’m still really excited about Yow Yow! I went through each month in 2015 and quickly scanned through all of the posts that I wrote – some that I laughed at and some that I had forgotten I had even written this year. Writing in 2015 was hard and it’s often times difficult to juggle this and a full-time job that I really care about, but if we can do this for six years, we can do a 7th.

In 2015, we were reached out by a few brands and companies, but due to my work schedule and other time commitments, I was unable to fulfill certain requests and posts. We’ll try again in 2016!

I always hate it when I have to say goodbye to one of my favorite blogs. I’ve been reading Red Carpet Fashion Awards for years and never thought I’d have to actually part ways with them! Whenever I spotted a celebrity in an outfit that I had to know the designer, RCFA was the first source that I would head to. They were so on top of knowing which designers were which and who was wearing what – something that’s pretty important these days. Also, remember all of our “I Like Your Style…” posts? Those couldn’t have been written without Red Carpet Fashion Awards. For 8 years, Catherine has done an extraordinary job and for the most part she did it all on her own. We get it though, running a blog by yourself is no easy feat – so thank you Catherine for all of your hard work and dedication throughout this time. Best of luck on your future endeavors!
The blog will officially shut down on January 14, 2016.
