Those Adorable AT&T Kids

I’m not sure how anyone could ever doubt the hilarity of kids. From the very beginning of seeing these AT&T commercials, I pretty much knew that this had to be improvised. In my mind, I thought ‘there’s no way this could be scripted!’ Turns out, I was right. It really isn’t. BBDO has done a phenomenal job at creating these commercials and inside this article, David Christopher, the Chief Marketing Officer at AT&T Mobility discusses how this campaign came to be.

It’s Not Complicated

This commercial has been on the air for months and it STILL makes me laugh every time I see it. Kids are the best.

Your Final Text Message

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_H2BkBzgxg]

Last year, AT&T launched a campaign to spread awareness about the dangers of texting while driving. In this heartbreaking video, you will hear the stories of four people who have have been affected by texting while driving whether it was losing someone, being the victim, or being the cause.

Maybe you think this doesn’t apply to you because you have never lost someone from it, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t happening at all. I think, for the most part, we feel that we are in this bubble and whatever is not within range is disregarded. I’ve been in a room full of people in which every single person has known someone that they have lost due to drinking and driving. How long will we have to wait before the same can be said about this? If you are texting and driving, you are 23 times more likely to get into a car accident because your entire vision from the road is impaired.

I hope you find this video as compelling as I did.
