Wasted Food = Wasted Monays

Wasting food when dining out at a restaurant is a horrid habit. It is also poor manners especially if you’re out on a date. Pack it up in a box and take it home for leftovers or at least waste it after you have done this that way no one has to witness you throwing away your food. Wafu, a restaurant in Australia, is now paying their customers back whenever they waste by charging them extra. Chef Yakako Ichikawa became tired of seeing her preparations going to waste that she decided to charge diners if they did not finish their meal 30% or more. Question: How can you even determine this?

To put this in simpler terms, those that clean off their plate are receiving a 30% discount.

If that doesn’t scare you enough, I’d like to refer you back to this post that will make you never want to waste food again.

China Playing Dirrrrty

This past Wednesday, the International Olympic Committee made the decision to strip China’s Gymnastics team of their bronze medal after discovering one gymnast was underage during the 2000 Olympic games.

The United States will be receiving the bronze instead. (YAYAYA!)

It turns out that during the Olympic games in Sydney, Australia, one of their athletes was only 14 years old. According to the rule book, you must be at least 16 – not pre-teen status basically.

David and Kate

These two people were your everyday average normies. Then one day, David destroyed Kate.

1) This is not a story I made up

2) I promise the ending is worth it.

Here’s some background information.

David Thorne is a popular Australian author. He was once known for attempting to pay a $233 bill with a drawing of a seven-legged spider. Not so successful – but necessary to know. It’s background information.

Then one day Kate decided to throw a party and David made her the most popular girl. Who wouldn’t want that?

Kate made a Facebook event page for her party entitled, “Kate’s Party.” Simple enough. David just wanted Kate’s party to be a hit – a rager if you will – so he tweeted it.

Tim & Jean – Come Around

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GpcURomQPjM]

These guys are so freakin’ cute! I’m almost sort of refusing to believe that they are just 15 and 18, because it’s…illegal, but knowing that they are makes their whole project so much more impressive. The two hail from Perth, Australia and even though they only have a couple songs out right now, this one has been blowing up all over blogs. The song is super catchy and reminds me a lot of Passion Pit and Friendly Fires.

These guys are kids. Their age puts them at that level, but their talent and drive is incredibly refreshing. It’s nice to know that people at their age can still have ambitions and can work so hard to make things happen for them. So congratulations to them on their success and a great hit song!

Michael Jackson – Last Viewing

Michael Jackson’s body will be up for public viewing at Neverland Ranch this Friday.

A private memorial service will be held on Saturday for family and friends.

No word yet on where he will be buried, also the will has been located.

I just found out this morning that nearly a dozen people have committed suicide over hearing the news of Michael Jackson’s death in Australia alone.

Let’s take a second to think about that fact…

Cut Copy – Time Stands Still

There are always those songs that when you listen to them right then, you remember exactly when and where you first heard that song. I love Cut Copy. I love the electronica beat. I love that it reminds me of summer because the first time I heard this song I was in Hawaii last year.

My friend Matt and I had a talk about what kind of music we listened to and he introduced me to all this techno that was hot in Australia at the time and one of the artists was Cut Copy and this was the first song I listened to on his iPod.
