Yow Yow’s Top 10 Posts of 2018

This is one of the posts that gives me a little bit of anxiety to write every year. I don’t check up on how my posts are doing throughout the year so when I get to this point, I’m nervous about what I find. Usually, it’s nothing too scary, but it is a bit of a surprise to see which posts rise to the top. Amongst the group this year, it seems like we were pretty fashion heavy! I don’t mind it, but it’s vastly different from last year where we talking about more challenging moments in my life and being more vulnerable.

What that says about 2018 is that we were a bit more stable and the data isn’t wrong. My biggest life moment this year was just changing jobs and while it was tough at first, it was the easiest transition out of all of my jobs that I’ve held. We even cushioned it with a bit of a break which was my ultimate blessing of 2018 honestly.

Released just a couple of days ago, Away’s new “Salt and Stone” Collection is a traveler’s dream color palette. Inspired by cities and elements along the Adriatic Sea, the lavender and navy hues can be found in their signature suitcase and other traveling pieces. The lavender is so pretty and almost reminds me of the collection that Rashida Jones launched with the company way back when. Prices for the specific collection range from $125 – $295 USD.

Holiday Gift Guide 2017

Instead of doing a normal “The Closet” post, we’re switching things up and calling it a gift guide. A lot of these things I’m going to want anyways, but why not make it more general for all of my readers? I’m also trying to post this early enough so that you can make it just in time to slide it underneath the Christmas tree for your loved ones. I promise you, there’s something for everyone. Why? Because I didn’t want to make a gift guide just for your best friend, your mom, your dad, or your sibling. It’s a catch all here.

Baby Pink is Back!

I’ve spent the last year consistently adding black and white pieces to my closet. I was convinced that color was dead – at least for me! That is… until this week when I discovered all of my favorite must-have wants are coming in shades of baby pink. And I’m not turning away from them. So I’m declaring it – baby pink is making a comeback this year and we are more than a little excited about it. The best part about this shade of pink is that it’s very subtle and if you want to wear a minimally styled outfit with black or white, a little pop of baby pink will do just the trick. Christmas Wish List 2015

Being 25 has changed me. I know so because this year I asked Kevin for very practical gifts that I actually need including luggage with wheels for my travels and a new laptop sleeve because I’ve spilt too many liquids on my old one. I also need a pair of earbuds to replace my old ones. Next year, I’ll be asking for a new vacuum, cushions, sheets, and aromatherapy sticks. Who are we kidding? We’ll take those now! Actually this year’s Christmas wish list is probably the most diverse that I’ve created so let’s just enjoy this alright?
