Olivia Palermo x Banana Republic

We’ve sort of been a fan of Olivia Palermo’s ever since she was cast as the passive aggressive villain on “The City.” Years later, we’re just convinced that it was all editing done by the producers. It seems like everyone else in the world has put that past of hers behind as well because for the last few years all we see in Olivia is a style icon. She’s not a celebrity by any means and we don’t even see her publicly on red carpets too often, but we wish we could see more of her. Every outfit of hers is perfection so it’s no surprise that she’s snagging her 2nd retailer collaboration. You may remember her first collaboration with Nordstrom’s Chelsea 28.

You can expect to see her capsule collection in stores beginning fall 2017, but for now here’s a look at their spring campaign starring her.

Your 2013 Holiday Party Dress

Banana Republic Seamed Ponte Fit and Flare V-Neck Dress – $130

It’s that time of the year! For the first time ever, I’m attending a holiday party for my company and this time – it won’t be in some sketchy dive bar in the middle of nowhere. I can toss that horrible, ugly, and itchy Christmas sweater aside and put on my favorite new dress for the season. Of course, I don’t own one yet, but that’s why we’re on the hunt! I actually helped a co-worker of mine find her dress before I found one and it looks fabulous. Job well done. Now, here are some options for both you and I!

Sachin + Babi Sequin Cutout Dress – $188

Banana Republic for Virgin America

The airline announced last week that they would be collaborating with Banana Republic to roll out new uniforms beginning August 8, 2012.

They are actually pretty snazzy, but would you expect anything less?

Interested: Business Casual Work Wear

So I recently acquired myself a job in downtown Seattle that requires me to dress business casual every time I come in. After being in the business school for four years, you would think that I would have this down by now, but I don’t – therefore, it is on the list of things that still do not make me a complete adult. The mothership stepped in, naturally.

Now that I am so much more aware of it though, business casual wear is all that I want to shop for. No, it isn’t, really, but it’s on my radar.

This new collaborative collection between Banana Republic and Trina Turk has got me swooning.

Trend to Watch

But why just watch? It’s time to get a move on! The pictures above are coming from the clothes now being advertised by American Apparel. Say goodbye to bright neons and the revival of the 80’s! It’s time to class up!

American Apparel says so.

If you would not like to succumb to the AA, your other options include J. Crew, The Gap, and Banana Republic.

… you’re welcome 😉

Holiday Season Brings Out the Prettiest Frocks!

Yesterday, I took a personal day at the mall to do a little retail therapy and to reward myself for finishing out this fall quarter.

I wasn’t sure if there were going to be any holiday parties while I was at home, but I wanted to be ready. I wanted to be sure that I could find a beautiful dress that would make me stand out and in all honesty, I’d rather spend money on a holiday dress than an “ugly Christmas sweater.”

Since I know we’re all looking this season, I decided to round up a few options from some of my favorite places to shop and browse at:

Stretch Velvet Double U-Neck Long Sleeve Mini Dress – American Apparel

Black – $42

Nothing feels more like holiday spirit than velvet!

Longest Night Dress – Anthropologie

$168
