Target Launches Beauty Boxes

I was just reading a question on Quora yesterday where someone asked what the best way to discover beauty products was. In 2017, I would chalk it up to three things: samples, your friends, and beauty boxes! I may be well into my 20’s, but I can admit that I’m not a pro when it comes to doing my makeup. I still get even the basics of it wrong so when there’s an event like a company’s holiday party where I need my face to look good, I leave it to those who do it best. Getting your makeup done at a counter or a store allows the people doing your makeup to tell you exactly what each product does. A lot of the time, I swear I’m just doing guess work when I’m by myself. I also rely on my friends to tell me what they love to use and why it works for them. Lastly, one of the best trends for makeup is with beauty boxes. Samples are your best friend. It’s like getting into a non-committal relationship with your beauty product and I can’t think of anything better. Well, I can think of one thing that is better. Beauty boxes by Target!

Target is officially launching their monthly subscription box that will deliver their top selling products to your doorstep for a record breaking price of $7. My eyeliner costs more than that and that’s just one piece. For their upcoming March box, you’ll be receiving these products at a $25 value: MISSHA’s Time Revolution Essence, Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost Lip Shine, Skinfix’s Foaming Oil Cleanser, and more by Dove and Soapbox. There are all sample sizes, but I think from looking at the box, everyone can tell you’re getting more bang for your buck here.

Introducing: Byrdie

byrdie

WhoWhatWear has been one of my favorite blogs since I first started reading blogs. It was my go-to fashion resource and that is why I am so thrilled to see them expanding and thriving within the industry. Today, they released some big news that they would be introducing their sister site Byrdie to cover all things beauty! Yep! We love the idea and yes, we’ll be following very closely. I haven’t covered too many beauty posts on Yow Yow! in the past, but when I started my “Beauty For Breakfast” series last year, I realized that I had a lot of fun with it. Check out the site today for your daily tips and tricks.
