BillBoard Music Awards 2013

I typically never watch the Billboard Music Awards or any other music awards show for that matter, but last night’s events were so entertaining I couldn’t turn away. For one, Christina Aguilera was making a comeback with her new look and the whole world approved. Taylor Swift had some sass and we liked it. Justin Bieber got booed and it was hilarious because he openly said that he should be “taken seriously as an artist.” Kind of fell into that one, didn’t he? Miguel’s dramatic jump landed  himself in a fan’s face and it was also a little bit funny. To top it all off, the fashion was on point. Here are my favorite looks:

Hayden Panettiere in Halston Heritage

Her introducing Macklemore & Ryan Lewis was more than a little awkward, but it’s okay because she probably thought she was really clever with it. Do you Hayden.

I’m not a huge fan of scary movies and I never saw the original Carrie, but I would love to see Chloe Moretz in this role. What do you guys think? Would you watch it?

The gang’s all back. Kick Ass is coming back for round two starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Chloe Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and some new faces including Jim Carey, Donald Faison, Morris Chestnut, and John Leguizamo. The trailer above is NSFW audio wise… so if you’re watching this at work, make sure your headphones are in. The film will be released this summer August 16.

DP/30

It isn’t difficult for me to just get sucked into an interview. They’re typically not very long, but I feel like for just a brief moment, celebrities are able to let down their walls and for once – we see them in a setting that doesn’t put them in acting mode. Above is an interview with the lovely and talented Chloe Moretz with DP/30 and below Mila Kunis.

Seriously cool girls – but this leads me into my next segment!

For some time now, I have been interested in bringing back interviews to Yow Yow! and now I’ve got a reason to. I am excited to announce that  Yow Yow! will be bringing back interviews to the blog in a new series featuring strong women making a difference and who are prominent across the web.

Chloe Moretz Will Star In Carrie Remake

The 15-year old actress has announced today via Twitter that she will be starring as the lead in the new remake of Carrie. Moretz will be playing the exact role made famous by Sissy Spacek in the 1976 horror film as a teenager with telepathic powers. Oh geez, that pig blood scene is unforgettable. As much as that terrifies me, I am excited to see how this film will be remade.

If you haven’t been introduced to Chloe yet, now’s the time to study up because she is truly an it-girl in the making. With films like 500 Days of Summer, Let Me In, Hugo, and Kick Ass, the young actress can only go up! In addition to being a talented actress, the startlet is also somewhat of a fashionista being tapped for fashion campaigns and nabbing the front row seat at this season’s most talked about fashion shows.
