Leighton Meester Is A Missed Connection

It looks like B received a missed connection ad in Craigslist today! This guy – whoever he is – in New York City has invested some time into writing this. He even schemes out a little story for what their first date will look like before it even happens, which okay, let’s be real here for a second…is Leighton Meester spending her time on Craigslist perusing the missed connections for this guy with the poor haircut? Probably not.

Then again, now that this Craigslist ad is being posted around, maybe she will because it has been brought to her attention.

Or maybe she won’t because of his elaborate story.

This could  go back and forth for awhile, but I want to know – does the missed connections section actually work or is it just purely for entertainment?

Are You On The Hunt For The Best. Roommate. Ever?

I typically don’t post Craigslist postings for my readers  because if you wanted to read Craigslist, you would just go to their website instead of my blog.

However, I felt compelled to share this with all of you today. Though I do not know the guy personally, his message is sincere and genuine. So if you’re looking for a new roommate and you are based out of San Francisco, give this posting a little looksie.

Help a guy out!

Hey Kids, Have You Heard?

Wu-Tang-Clan was searching for an intern for their management company earlier this week on Craigslist. Unfortunately, the post has already been taken down. It’s probably because they were receiving so many willing applicants, right?

To the person who has accepted this position – I hope you know what you’re getting into. Also, can you start a blog to share with us the details of your responsibilities. I was going to string along sentences of what I thought might be some responsibilities as an intern for the rap group, but I couldn’t think of anything.

Anyone else wanna give it a shot?

HBO is on the hunt for Hipsters.

I’ve never really used Craigslist for anything before, but it seems to come in handy for a lot of my friends. I think the top uses I have seen for it are for apartment/house listings, furniture snagging, job postings, and scalping tickets. While perusing blogs today, I found this little gem posted by HBO. First off, I’m one of those people that doesn’t always believe in postings because I sometimes think they are fake. I mean, anyone can post right?!

So anyways, back to this HBO posting…

Roman Candle Casting is seeking people to portray hipsters on the HBO show “How To Make It In America” starring Brian Greenberg, Victor Rasuk, Lake Bell, and Kid Cudi. So have you ever been called a hipster? Deny being one but own various wardrobe and sport a hairstyle that is considered non-mainstream.? Got any cool tattoos? Have a awesome beard or ironic mustache.? Have some cool vintage dresses? Did you make it to the LCD Soundsystem farewell show or desperately wanted to? If any of these things pertain to you, you’re probably just right for the show. Basically we are looking for some cool interesting types to feature on the episode. Looking for model types too.

Think you would make a great fit? Here’s the original posting for those of you who are interested. Make us proud!

Capitol Hill Block Party Tix – Friday is sold out…

But wait!

There are still ways you can get tickets and here’s how:

  • Advanced tickets are sold out, but that doesn’t necessarily mean day-of tickets are all gone. Festival organizer Dave Meinert says if they do offer up more tickets, you will have to get them at the gates. If tickets are available, they will be announced on the Capitol Hill Block Party Facebook page, Twitter, or The Stranger Line Out section of the blog. It may be a pain to sit by your computer waiting for the news to hit, but… what can I say? You waited last minute! [source]
  • Participate in The Stranger’s Capitol Hill Block Party competition. The organizers want you to support the local businesses surrounding the Capitol Hill Block Party all weekend, so you need to spend $150 at any of the following retailers here Spend it all in one place or multiple places, but if you reach $150, bring it to Big Mario’s at 5PM tomorrow. First 10 people to complete the challenge at 5 pm tomorrow will receive two passes for Friday. And just in case I wasn’t clear, click here and read the post from the organizers.
  • Well…there’s always Craigslist.
