2,000 Movies Will Exit Netflix

Netflix will be retiring almost 2,000 titles tomorrow from their website. I didn’t even know that was possible until now, but the films will completely vanish! Cruel Intentions and Big Daddy are just two of the titles that won’t be returning for streaming. For the full list, click here. While Netflix will be losing a chunk of their films, they will also be adding 500 more titles tomorrow as well. Can any film ever really replace Cruel Intentions though?

Not Another Teen Movie

I wasn’t alive in the 80’s, but that doesn’t mean I don’t know about Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, The Breakfast Club, and Pretty in Pink.

They were classics! Everyone loved them and everyone still loves them to this day.

From the time I was born up until… 2000, teenage hit movies were all the rage. They were funny, refreshing, and most of the time true. I didn’t know that yet because I was still probably eight and hadn’t lived through high school. Also, the actors and actresses in these movies sometimes overlapped and I swear, these kids all did the same movies together.

  • Bring It On
  • Cruel Intentions
  • Never Been Kissed
  • 10 Things I Hate About You
  • American Pie

These had to be some of my favorite movies. A decade has passed and I want to know where they went. We had Mean Girls, yes, but that’s where it began and ended. Now that I’m ten years older, I wonder if I would still love these movies as much if they were to resurface again. Maybe it will just remain a part of my childhood.
