2019 Golden Globes Red Carpet

Our host and new Golden Globe winner, Sandra Oh, in Atelier Versace

I’ve been looking forward to writing this post all day, but I usually have to wait until the end of the show for all of the photos to come through. This year’s Golden Globes is special to me. As I get older, I have the opportunity to watch more of the films and shows being nominated than when I was a kid. I also am able to comprehend more of it. There are quite a few things that I’m particularly excited about this year. Sandra Oh was nominated and won and co-hosted the evening. Crazy Rich Asians was nominated and while they didn’t win, the nomination is huge. Lastly, the outfits on the red carpet were outstanding. As I was watching the red carpet today, I already knew it was going to be hard to choose just five best looks for later.

What Would I Do Without Giphy?

Sometimes…we do this thing where we speak in GIFs. You recall a commercial or a scene from a television show or a movie and nothing seems more appropriate when chatting with a friend than to recall it with one of these.

This happened tonight in the car with Veronica and I straight up at the end of my story just went… “Ja feel?”

She hasn’t seen 21 Jump Street yet; that’s okay. I am glad I can rely on Giphy to help me find this gem again.

– Seattle based Izilla Toys has gone out of business entirely. Two months ago, their store on 12th Ave had closed and today it was announced that they would be closing their Wallingford location as well. The 12th Ave spot will now be turned into a new burger bar called “Manhattan Drugs.” [Source]

Cults – Go Outside

Today’s Song of the Day has a French-themed music video that stars Dave Franco (younger brother of James Franco) and Emma Roberts (niece of Julia Roberts.) I haven’t decided what my favorite part of the video is just yet – maybe it’s the theme of romanticism, the alluring song, or the fact that two stars on the rise are in it! Maybe it is just all of it.
