% Arabica’s Shanghai Renovation

Even though Angel and I have only been to two countries in Asia together, one of the first things we do is scope out the coffee scene once we arrive. Coffee in our daily lives is essential. But I also think how a coffee shop lives in a community or a neighborhood has some significance as well. I love seeing how other countries put their own spin on espresso. Japanese coffee company [% Arabica] just underwent a renovation in their Shanghai spot and it is stunning. From the outside looking in, you can see everything leaving the space completely transparent. Surrounding the shop is also a beautiful concrete courtyard.

Just one look at this and I know that this is definitely a place that we’d stop into. The coffee company has several locations internationally with plans to open in the United States.

Holiday Gift Guide 2019

[Google Pixelbook Go] – $849

I’m not sure how we were able to start this gift guide before Thanksgiving this year, but it seems as if everyone had the same idea! The guides are out and it’s exciting to see what made the list. This past quarter, I’ve tried my hardest to be a bit more financially focused. In years prior, I’ve never had a budget when considering gifts for my family, but this year it’s at the top of my to do list. Finding the perfect gift for every family member is key, but if I did a bit of research on prices and deals, I’d also be doing myself a favor too. There’s no reason why we can’t have both, right? This year’s guide is covering gifts across all areas and at different price points:

[VSCO Annual Subscription] – $19.99

Down to Denver

As we get older and life happens, it can be challenging to find quality time with your friends. Trips get harder to plan and even brunches fall by the wayside between everyone’s weekend plans. A couple years ago, our friend Leah left the Bay Area for a new job. None of us had ever been to Denver before and when that’s where we had decided, I was thrilled. For the last year, Denver has been coming up in my searches as an up-and-coming food city, but as you expected, a weekend is never enough time to try everything.

I landed in Denver before everyone else which meant I got one extra food spot to try! Seeking a simple lunch, I landed at Call, also conveniently located in a fun neighborhood.

Yow Yow x Winc

It has been awhile since I’ve done some regular partnerships, but [Winc] came into my life at just the right time. Over the summer, I had just written a [post] about how a bottle of wine is the easiest gift to give any host. Sure enough, shortly after that I was reached out to by Winc to partner with them and receive my first shipment of four bottles. I don’t often go through bottles of wine quickly, but it’s so useful to have on hand when I’m bringing the small party back to my house or if I’m headed out to another’s home.

We’ll save ourselves the post about partnerships in the next coming months, but since I’m currently working with Winc for their fall campaign, I wanted to extend the opportunity to all of you.

Using this [link] you easily get your own set of 4 wines for a $22 discount and complimentary shipping. Altogether, that brings your total to $39, which is a steal! Get ready for all of your holiday needs and make sure you’ve got your bottles on hand for entertaining this season!

Pumpkin Spice – The $600 Million Flavor

Fact: When the pumpkin spice latte is released by Starbucks, I buy it on day one. Every day after that, it becomes my go-to latte in the morning before work until the holiday drinks come out.
