#NaturesPlayground

What everyone has ever said about post grad lyfe is absolutely true. The transition from college to the adult world is really something else. When we graduate, we enter a life full of routines. Just one routine. There are no more breaks between classes, different courses, and varying faces. It’s the same schedule and the same faces day-in and day-out. And it’s funny how monotonous that sounds because I should be excited about giving my talk to management students at Seattle University tomorrow afternoon, but there’s no way the stuff I just said will be exciting them in the slightest. What I will remind them to do is to enjoy every second they have at college and when they leave to appreciate the little things as well.

The #NaturesPlayground campaign designed by The Cl!ck in England has put up these quirky little reminders for locals to do just that.

Look At This Pretty Bridge

How magical does this look?!

It totally looks like something you would want to walk on, but guess what? You can’t. Sadly this whimsical bridge is just an art installation and would probably crumble if you took one step onto it. This piece was designed by Olivier Grossetête and can be found in the Japanese Garden at Tatton Park, England.

I’d love to just be able to see this in person.

Hey, animals like their toys too

Louis, the giant pacific octopus who lives in the Blue Reef Aquarium in Cornwell, England can’t get enough of his Mr. Potato Head. Caretakers have caught him nuzzling the toy with his beak and if they try to even take him away Louis becomes “aggressive.”

Mattress Dominos

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndYxBQXhNjI&feature=player_embedded]

My favorite part is when some of the people underestimate where the mattress before them will land and then it hits them in a sensitive spot. It’s lulzworthy.

Anyways, a group of employees from Bensons for Beds in England decided to test out mattress dominos to set a world wide record. They will most likely get it because I’m sure that wasn’t even in the book in the first place.

Watching this video reminded me that it is about time I invested in a new mattress. Moreover, did you know that both the mattress industry and the Sleep Council strongly recommend that you should replace a mattress every eight years, because by this time it will have lost much of its original comfort and support?

Accordingly, in total you spend about one-third of your life on your mattress, so, therefore, it plays a significant part in your general health and well-being, not to mention your day-to-day energy levels, alertness, and mood.

With this in mind, doing plenty of research online can help you find the best mattress for your needs. For example, if you weigh more than an average person, a latex mattress might not provide the proper level of comfort. This is when a quick online search could prove to be beneficial for you as it could help you find bariatric mattress. The main purpose of a bariatric mattress is to provide support to heavier individuals and protect them from developing bedsores and skin ulcers. There are many qualities that can make bariatric mattresses a good choice, including layers of various types of foams, alternate pressure air cushions, no motion transfer, and pressure distribution. So, hopefully, you can understand why this exercise of researching on the Internet is so important when it comes to improving your overall health and wellbeing.

Anyway, during my research, I came across this article that enabled me to learn more about this natural latex mattress and how it can supposedly be one of the best mattresses to guarantee a good night’s sleep for people who are not heavy. Who would have thought it? But whilst the benefits highly outweighed the cons, this wasn’t for me, and so I decided to continue with my research to see what else I could find.

Personally, I find that reading reviews is a fantastic way to see what people are saying about different products and therefore before I decide which mattress to buy, I will definitely be comparing a few options online first.

Consequently, some friends of mine have told me to take a look at this ecosa vs koala mattress guide for some inspiration. If you have any mattress recommendations of your own, do get in touch as I would love to hear them!

Anyway, check out the video that I have linked above, and share your thoughts. I am so excited to hear what you have to say!

Skins

ooooh this show is SO steamy. Skins takes place in Bristol, England and revolves around the lives of teenagers. It’s basically a British version of Canada’s Degrassi. I love it. I actually did a post recently about one of the main characters Kaya Scodelario (center) in In Style, which is why I decided to tune into the show tonight.
