Snaps for A Snapshot

Who: Nicola Peltz

Wearing: Stella McCartney bodysuit w/ a Dolce & Gabbana lace skirt.

Where: “Transformers: Age of Extinction” press tour in Berlin, Germany

We don’t normally feature someone for “Snaps for a Snapshot” nearly twice in one month, but when you dress as well as Nicola Peltz, how could we not?! The 19-year old has definitely caught our eye while on her tour promoting her recent film and while we hear the film isn’t really good, she’s totally nailing it with her outfits on the red carpet. I love how she paired a skirt with this body suit and kept it classy. The cutouts on the side add a little sexiness to this all white outfit.

Germany’s “Walkable” Roller-Coaster

The first and only roller coaster sculpture to ever exist has opened in Germany allowing visitors to walk the entire course of it. The 69-foot tall structure was designed by two German artists named Heike Mutter and Ulrich Genth. Unfortunately, the loop cannot be accessed because of … you know, gravity.

Bicycles for Sale

A German bicycle shop takes on a new approach to advertising with this display of 120 bikes mounted to the building’s exterior. This display is beautiful, but I have a feeling that bringing down a bike is no simple task.

The Painted Road

A visually pleasing display of art was cast over the streets of Berlin. 13 gallons of water-based paint were poured into the busy intersection of Rosenthaler Platz. Even though this act was planned by a bunch of cyclists, it took cyclists, drivers, and pedestrians to create this marveling piece.

The paint was harmless though and would simply wash away with water. I’m sure if someone tried to pull this off in the states, people would just get pissy. We live in a world where people see more things as inconveniences than beauty.

XOXO

Blair: Why aren’t you in Europe?

Chuck: I was in Paris only to get your favorite macaroons from Pierre Herme.

Blair: And Germany?

Chuck: To pick up your favorite fall stockings. You know how I adore them.

Blair: What are you doing here then?

Chuck: You were right. I was a coward running away again. Everywhere I went, you caught up with me. I had to come back.

Blair: I want to believe you, but I can’t. You’ve hurt me too many times.

Chuck: You can believe me this time.

Blair: Oh…that’s it?

Chuck: I love you too.

Blair: But, can you say it twice? No, I’m serious… say it twice.

Chuck: I love you, I love you, that’s three. Four. I love you.

(End Scene!)

SWOOON!!! I’m four months too late watching the previous season finale of Gossip Girl, but I made up this whole to do list on the airport today and I figured, this needed to be checked off tonight. I never really liked the idea of Blair and Chuck together, but I kid you not when he finally said I love you, I literally punched the air with my fist. [super hero style]

PS: The new season starts Monday, September 14th

PPS: …I’m BAAAAAAACK

Rollerskating a Roller Coaster

36-year old Dirk Auer is what they call an “adrenaline junkie.” He took on the challenge of rollerskating (HOBviously customized) down a roller coaster track, something no one has done before supposedly.

He set the new record for going 56 MPH in 60 seconds on 860 meters.

LULZ at the suit. don’t act like you weren’t thinking the same thing. This is too weird for me.

Domestic violence is NOT okay

click the ad for a bigger picture!

Amnesty International recently installed a new anti-domestic violence ad at a bus stop in Hamberg, Germany that actually serves a good point! Using technology, they placed a camera in the ad that reacts when a person is looking at it. When you see the ad, you see a loving and happy couple, however, when you turn away the image quickly turns dark as the man is now beating his wife.

Underneath the picture the text reads, “It happens when nobody is watching.”
