GIFs Are Coming To Facebook

For quite some time, I have been thinking that leaving a picture for a comment on Facebook wasn’t sufficient enough for the emotions that I was trying to express. Sometimes you need to insert a GIF, but for the longest time, Facebook wouldn’t accept that. Well my favorite GIF site Giphy has finally found a way around it.

When wanting to post a GIF on Facebook, all you have to do is copy and paste the URL into the comment just like you would with any image and it will simply appear. Can’t wait to see these popping up on Facebook.

What Would I Do Without Giphy?

Sometimes…we do this thing where we speak in GIFs. You recall a commercial or a scene from a television show or a movie and nothing seems more appropriate when chatting with a friend than to recall it with one of these.

This happened tonight in the car with Veronica and I straight up at the end of my story just went… “Ja feel?”

She hasn’t seen 21 Jump Street yet; that’s okay. I am glad I can rely on Giphy to help me find this gem again.

It seems like it was yesterday (actually it probably was yesterday,) that I asked myself why there wasn’t a search engine for GIFs. I have moments all the time where a GIF would be appropriate, but where exactly am I supposed to find the right one? Giphy has answered my prayers. Whether I’m looking for a GIF about love, Ryan Gosling, cats, or something suitable for #dealwithit (my all time favorite) Giphy has got it all.
