So we’re a little overdue for a recap post on the CFDA Fashion Awards, but I didn’t want to go on without making a post about it. Every year some of the greatest designers are highlighted along with the best in fashion and some of the most beautiful gowns. Enjoy!

It’s been exactly a week since Coachella blew all of us away whether we were at the festival or not. Although I was unable to attend the festival, YouTube did a pretty great job providing me with live streaming performances throughout the entire weekend! Watching sets from both Kanye and Jack’s Mannequin from my laptop Sunday evening was the best treat I could have given to myself.
Even though it’s been a week, Coachella is still alive in our hearts and minds as we enter peak music festival season! I couldn’t give it a proper farewell without posting a fashion roundup of the best festival looks from last weekend. Hello inspiration for Capitol Hill Block Party…

It was a tough decision choosing my header for the month of March. For one, I almost forgot to do it. Two, this is my birthday month, but it isn’t just any regular birthday month. It is the month that I will be turning 21!
Typically, I try to base my headers around events going on in the month or themes and colors, but with March, I didn’t know what to do. I don’t even know what I want to do for my birthday. Last year, I met over a dozen people throughout the day interacting with them at restaurants, in stores, or on the street with my best friends asking them what they did for their epic 20th birthday. As of right now, I’m not sure if I’ll have another birthday project.
I perused through my archive of photos asking myself if I wanted a cliche header that included balloons, candles, and a celebration or if I wanted a photo that just made me happy to look at. Instead, I chose this photo taken by Mark Hunter at Harley Viera-Newton’s 23rd birthday party. Someday, my guests are going to be gifted shirts, but that won’t be this year! It’s not a bold photo and it isn’t obnoxious, but I think it says enough.
