2020 September Issue Covers

As we inch closer to fall and what is usually the most anticipated month for magazine covers, the acknowledgment that the world we live in today is nothing like we’ve seen before. Known for being a celebration of fashion, the largest issues, and the turning of a new season, the September issue is taking on a new tone this year. We need to recognize the environment around us and how this relates to fashion because though we don’t always talk about that intersection, it exists. While we are looking forward to hundreds of pages filled with beautiful pieces and editorials, our focus is on the stories that will be told.

Rihanna is on the cover of all 26 editions of Harper’s globally for the September issue.

Karl Lagerfeld’s Daily Routine

It is apparent that Karl Lagerfeld’s lifestyle is one that cannot be compared to ours, but until now, I don’t think anyone ever realized just how outrageous it was. And by outrageous, I mean it is absolutely fantastic. It is comical to say the least, but it is Karl Lagerfeld and he can do whatever he wants.

Seeing Karl grocery shopping or behind the wheel of a car was out of the ordinary for him as captured in the photographs of the recent issue of French Elle, but it makes you wonder…if he is not doing these things, what exactly is he doing? Harper’s Bazaar decided to highlight aspects of  his daily routine in their “My List” feature detailing his habits on choice of beverage, sleeping, how he works, and much more.

On his bath products:

When I’m ready, I soak in the bathtub, if you really want to know. I used to have a product I loved, by Shu Uemura, but they don’t make it anymore, so I found a French product that softens the water; it’s a hundred years old. I put half a bottle in the bathtub.

Mila Kunis for Dior

It looks like Mila and her former Black Swan co-star Natalie Portman have another similar project in common. They’ve both been tapped to work with Dior as brand ambassadors. Here are some of Mila’s new spring campaigns shot by photographer Mikail Jansson. The advertisements will be featured in the pages of magazines as early as January 15th first internationally and then in American fashion magazines like Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue.
