Herschel’s 2015 Spring Collection

It has only been four months into the year, but already I’ve got travel plans on my mind. San Diego next month is just the first adventure, but after that we’ve got so many more months ahead to plan for week-long trips, weekend trips, and even longer trips! The goal is to have one 10-day trip on the calendar this year – where we’re going to go – we’re not sure yet! But there are possibilities. However, the only travel bag I’ve got is my Herschel duffel and there’s no way that will last me for a 10-day trip so it’s back to square one. There are so many Herschel Bags that I could get. However, I thought that once we settle on the bag, we can settle on the trip, right? When I first bought my duffel, it was just after graduating college and I thought it was perfect for my weekend long trips. I think it’s called the Weekender anyways so it was a good fit. However, when that thing is all stuffed, it can be really difficult to lug around. I’m totally THAT girl that has to ask people on my flights to help me stow my bag overwhead and take it back down again. Also, I’m that girl that is lopsided carrying my bag because it’s so heavy and I’m sweating getting to my gate. Herschel just unveiled their new Spring collection and I’m really excited about their hard-shell luggage with wheels!

Now I can’t have all of these things, but if I had it my way – these pieces would be mine!

Herschel Supply Co. “Fine China” Collection

Herschel unveiled their new “Fine China” collection today and it is every girly girl’s spring dream. With a burst of dark floral patterns in a mixture of both soft and vibrant colors, these bags are easily going to win over the hearts of many. This floral print can be found across a wide variety of their bags including the Little America Backpack and the Novel Duffle.

Can you imagine traveling with this gem? Lovely.

The collection is out now and can be purchased from Herschel.

Herschel Supply Holiday 2013 Polka Dot Collection

In general, I typically consider myself a pretty frugal shopper. I won’t spend money on an expensive piece unless I know I’m going to get use out of it. If I can, I would prefer to have a try-out period with a brand or an item until I decide I want my own. That’s exactly what I did when I decided on my Herschel Supply traveling bag. I probably used Kevin’s for years until I realized I had to get my own in California. I haven’t used it just yet, but I am more than a little excited to tote it around with me when I travel again for the first time.

Herschel Supply just debuted their new line for the holidays and they are featuring polka dots! The bag I recently bought isn’t part of this collection, but it looks exactly the same.

Herschel Supply Co. for HYPEBEAST Heritage Backpack

photo cred | Hypebeast

I’m a huge fan of functional accessories. When I was in high school and even college, I used to know girls who frequently bought new purses every quarter. Somehow, I could never justify spending hundreds of dollars on something like that. There’s nothing wrong if that’s what you prefer, of course. But I just really like my $15 Urban Outfitters cross-body purse that I’ve been clutching onto for three years. Yesterday, I received my Herschel Supply Duffel and while this was my first purchase from them, I’ve actually been using their product (Kevin’s!) for a couple of years now. Needless to say, I’m a huge fan now and all I want to do is encourage others to try out their products. Herschel Supply recently collaborated with a blog that I read called Hypebeast to create this limited edition Heritage Backpack.

The limited edition bag will be released in conjunction with the upcoming fifth issue of HYPEBEAST Magazine. Pertaining to the issue’s theme of ‘Process,’ both sides explored the creative and manufacturing process of the project, with an ultimate goal to share the experience with readers. While the process of creation as an art in itself is something that is often overlooked, HYPEBEAST and Herschel Supply Co. were motivated to offer an interesting insight into that progression.

Sold exclusively only in HYPEBEAST stores, there will only be about 80 of them available starting October 2nd and at $140 a pop!

Herschel Supply Co – Sutton Duffle

Those close to me know that when it comes to making purchases, I actually am quite frugal, but I will, however, splurge on pieces that I know are going to be long-lasting. For years, I have been borrowing Kevin’s Herschel Supply Co Duffle Bag back and forth so I figured it was probably time to graduate and buy my own. I wanted something that was similar to my style – I don’t happen to own anything with polka dots, but I also loved that this was dark so that it wouldn’t get as dirty. I also bought it mostly because I hope it encourages me to travel a bit more for leisure than I am used to.

Some Men Like Valentine’s Day

Like many little girls growing up, I always believed that Valentine’s Day was for the ladies! It was the one day that girls would acquire something sparkly, nibble into some chocolates, or even receive a bouquet of flowers. (This doesn’t happen in real life) For some reason, no one ever told me that guys  were getting something out of it too. Of course, as I grew up I knew better. I knew that if I were to ever celebrate Valentine’s Day that it wouldn’t be all about me and that I would treat the relationship as being mutual. It still bothers me to this day to watch reality television shows in which girls expect to be treated like princesses at all times. I’m looking at you Heidi Montag.

I’m pretty proud of myself that I can still believe that chivalry isn’t dead, but also that girls can split meals, ask a guy out on a date first, or even WHOA treat their guys out to a date sometimes. It’s what keeps things exciting, right?

The point of this is that Valentine’s Day is a celebration for both you AND your significant other so enjoy it and girls – allow yourself to do something nice for your guy (not just on V-day) but other days too.
