Away’s “Salt and Stone” Collection

Released just a couple of days ago, Away’s new “Salt and Stone” Collection is a traveler’s dream color palette. Inspired by cities and elements along the Adriatic Sea, the lavender and navy hues can be found in their signature suitcase and other traveling pieces. The lavender is so pretty and almost reminds me of the collection that Rashida Jones launched with the company way back when. Prices for the specific collection range from $125 – $295 USD.

adidas POD s3.1 – “Clear Orange”

Doesn’t it feel like we’ve been having a real crush on adidas lately? If you would have asked me a year ago if I was Nike vs. adidas, I probably would’ve said Nike! Since I acquired my own pair of UltraBoosts though, I have become a converted fan. I love my Nike flyknits, but my Boosts feel like real sneakers. They’re also like 10x warmer, but if I’m being honest – there are pros and cons to both pairs. I love them both. However, I’m obsessed with this new shade “Clear Orange” coming out for the Boost. Even though the name says it’s orange, it looks a bit like coral to me. We’re okay with it! This edition will be in stores and online starting August 16th and will be sold for $130 USD.

If You’re Still Obsessed With Meghan Markle’s 2nd Dress…

That first dress was beautiful, but who could forget the 2nd dress that stunned us all? This high-neck Stella McCartney will go down in history as one of the most unforgettable dresses of our time. It feels like the Royal Wedding happened some time ago, but we’re all still talking about it! Earlier this week, McCartney announced that she plans on releasing 46 replicas of this dress – 23 in black and 23 in white as part of the “Made With Love” capsule collection. They won’t be exact replications of this reception dress though because there can only be one, but they will resemble a similar silhouette.

The expected price is £3,500 (approximately $4700 USD) and according to The Telegraph, those interested must email 23oldbond.store@stellamccartney.com and receive a personal invitation by McCartney to view the gowns, which are housed in a private space at her new shop on 23 Old Bond Street in London.

Kaia Gerber Shot By Karl Lagerfeld

We’re not surprised that Kaia is following in her mother’s footsteps. She’s also one of our favorite models on the scene currently and even though she’s just at the start of her career, we’re confident that she has a long and successful journey ahead of her. In these new photographs, Kaia poses for Karl Lagerfeld showcasing Chanel’s latest line of handbags for their Spring/Summer 2018 collection.

Though not shown in the three photographs, the collection does include a range of duffle bags, small clutches, and backpacks.

Nike’s Ultra Violet Air Zoom Mariah Flyknit Racer

Ever since Pantone announced that Ultra Violet would be the color of the year, we haven’t been able to get it out of our heads. I’m seeing it in all of the stores and it gives me visions of springtime all year round. I am the biggest fan of my Nike Flyknit Racers; all my friends will tell you that it’s one of the best pairs of sneakers I’ve ever owned. Even though I don’t need another, if I could pick a second pair, it would be this one. This shade of ultra violet is so pretty and beautifully detailed. It’s subtle, but you can even catch the light blue that runs from the back of the heel to the very front giving it a very icy look. Ready to make a purchase? You can buy it here for $150 USD.

Nike Air Zoom Mariah Flyknit Racer “Sail”

The other day Kevin asked how wearing my adidas UltraBOOSTs have been going. Embarrassed, I admitted that I haven’t even worn them out of the house yet! Truthfully, San Francisco isn’t the cleanest city and yes, I don’t want them to get dirty, but I want them to remain in perfect condition! I think a part of the reason why I haven’t worn them out yet is because I didn’t do it immediately. After Christmas, I had to leave them behind in Seattle before I could return and pack them into my luggage the second time around.

I’m aiming to wear them next week because it would be silly to blog about all these sneakers and never get any use out of them. Nike just released their remix of the Air Zoom Mariah Flyknit Racer in “Sail” and it’s the perfect shade of millennial pink if you’re looking for something a little bit more minimalist. The Flyknit that I own right now is easily one of my favorite pairs of shoes so I have no doubts that this one won’t win me over as well.

Find it here for $200CAD or $163 USD.

Instagram Unveils Activity Status

Facebook has been doing this with messenger for years. You can choose to opt in or out of texting “read receipts.” So why is this any different? The differentiating factor is that with texting and with Facebook, you choose who is in your network and who you let in. You can do this with a private Instagram account as well, but for those who are public, you run the risk of more dangerous territories. The good news is that your activity status is only shown to people you follow or engage with through DM’s so this won’t be public information to everyone that follows you. A tweet I saw yesterday said that this would be more concerning for Instagram accounts that may have stalkers though.

For those of you are uncomfortable with this feature or just want to slide a little bit more under the radar once in awhile, you can easily change this in your settings.

From your profile page, click on the settings gear and scroll down. Under settings and right above “Support” you’ll find “Show Activity Status.” Just swipe that bad boy to the left to keep yourself hidden from showing the last time you were active.
