San Francisco in 23 Pieces

I came across this print by a local artist and illustrator named Lisa Congdon on The Bold Italic today and thought it was a perfect post for Yow Yow! How cute is this? According to her, these are the 23 items that make San Francisco the city that it is. Want it? It’s only selling for $20!

I wonder what 23 items would best represent Seattle…

A collection a day

[Baby doll hands]

As most of my friends know, I love yearly projects! I love the idea that someone can hold themselves to a year-long commitment of creativity while challenging and learning about themselves. Two years ago, I completed my Project 366 – taking one picture every day for a year. In 2009, this blog became my yearly project and now look at us! We’re almost two years old!

Lisa Congdon is an artist from San Francisco who started “A Collection A Day” to display her groupings of things, drawings, or photographs. She hasn’t missed a day and she’s less than 100 days from finishing. I’m really enjoying this blog as well as the project.
