Top Posts of the Week

With the nice weather out in Seattle, I have been spending less time on  the computer and more time outside and with great company! Obviously by doing that, I have gotten behind on posts for the week. Apologies. Instead of making an individual post for each, we’re doing a roundup and playing catch up!

Massive Monkees have made the cut!!

The local dance group Massive Monkees from Seattle will be competing in this upcoming season of America’s Best Dance Crew. The show will premiere Sunday, August 9th on MTV

The description of the group found on MTV’s website:

MASSIVE MONKEES (Seattle, WA) – This Seattle crew have grinded their way through national and international competition at the highest level over the past five years. They have won a number of prestigious titles including B-boy Summit 2000 and the World B-boy Championships at Wembley Arena in London, England. The Monkees are actively involved in their community, working at local centers with children, coaching child sports and teaching b-boy classes. They even have their own holiday, as April 26th was dubbed Seattle’s official Massive Monkees Day in 2004. With this much talent and personality, they could be next in the line of b-boy crews to walk away with the $100,000 prize.

Good luck boys!

Seattle’s Massive Monkees

Seattle’s very own dance crew the Massive Monkees are in the process of auditioning for MTV’s fourth season of America’s Best Dance Crew!

This will be their second time auditioning as they did not make it through to the next round in season two. Known for performing during the Supersonic basketball home games at Key Arena and with artists such as De La Soul, Nas, 50 cent, Jay-Z, Missy Elliott and Beyonce, this group has great potential.

The premiere of the new season will be on August 9th so tune in to see of our crew will be able to represent!

Unsure of how talented this crew really is? Check out the video below for yourself.
