Harry and Meghan Resign From Royal Duties – What Does That Mean?

We don’t follow this drama as closely as other people, but my guess is that Harry and Meghan are going to be just fine. Now expecting their 2nd child, the couple are announcing that they are leaving behind their days of royalty. So what exactly does that mean? Haven’t they already left? The previous announcement was merely stepping back from duties to care for their first son.

It seems that this announcement, however, means that any official work going forward is done. In a statement made by by the Palace’s official website, Queen Elizabeth II shared that their titles and appointments will be redistributed to other members of the family. While the formality of all this seems to be tying up, at the end of the day, they are still family.

Sharing more of their story, the Harry and Meghan will sit down with Oprah on March 7th for a primetime interview which will likely detail the drama of the last year.

Stella McCartney’s First Bridal Collection

Doesn’t it seem like the Royal Wedding was ages ago? I still remember it clearly like it was yesterday. Waking up at 2-3AM to see Meghan Markle gliding into her wedding ceremony like the angel that she is. I was at lunch when I learned that Stella McCartney had designed her stunning wedding reception dress. Imagine how shocked I was that McCartney hadn’t even had a bridal collection before because it seemed like she was a natural for it. Today, the designer announced that she was launching a full bridal collection. We’ve got pictures and our favorites.

If You’re Still Obsessed With Meghan Markle’s 2nd Dress…

That first dress was beautiful, but who could forget the 2nd dress that stunned us all? This high-neck Stella McCartney will go down in history as one of the most unforgettable dresses of our time. It feels like the Royal Wedding happened some time ago, but we’re all still talking about it! Earlier this week, McCartney announced that she plans on releasing 46 replicas of this dress – 23 in black and 23 in white as part of the “Made With Love” capsule collection. They won’t be exact replications of this reception dress though because there can only be one, but they will resemble a similar silhouette.

The expected price is £3,500 (approximately $4700 USD) and according to The Telegraph, those interested must email [email protected] and receive a personal invitation by McCartney to view the gowns, which are housed in a private space at her new shop on 23 Old Bond Street in London.

The Royal Wedding: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

For one evening, I sacrificed a full night of sleep just to view the Royal Wedding and it was incredible. When Prince William and Kate Middleton married, I didn’t feel connected enough to the two of them to want to stay awake for the wedding. I barely even caught the highlights of it back then. That just wasn’t the case with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. I’ve been a longtime fan of Meghan’s since her very first episode on Suits. She is a bi-racial woman who played a strong-willed character on a show in a field that was known to be dominated by men. She was an actress, sure, but she continued to use her presence for good through charity work and speaking out firmly with her opinions on the world. Even without Prince Harry in the picture, she would have gone on to become a role model for many young women.

My adoration for Prince Harry would have come later, but it’s true what he said in an interview after they were engaged: The two of them make a great team. This morning’s wedding was unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Is it a stretch to even say that it was the best wedding video of 2018? Probably not. For the last week, I’ve been watching Prince Harry and Meghan Markle specials about their relationship, Harry’s upbringing without his mother, and even highlights on the late Princess Diana. Each time, I felt a little bit overcome with emotion (except for the Lifetime movie) and reflected that even though I never knew Princess Diana, that her sons really did grow up to be outstanding men who found the best partners in life for themselves and believe that’s likely what she would’ve thought too.

This morning, Meghan made her entrance into Windsor Castle’s St. Georges Chapel in a perfect white gown custom designed for her by British Designer Clare Waight Keller through Givenchy. It was a simple gown, but a look elevated by her five-meter long veil, hand-embroidered with silk threaded and organza flowers. Sitting beneath her veil, a beautiful tiara belonging to Queen Mary loaned to her by The Queen.

While Meghan’s first dress for the ceremony seemed quite modest to some, the second dress she changed into for the reception did not disappoint. This Bespoke Stella McCartney dress was fit for a modern princess and was everything we had ever hoped for!

The Royal Wedding – Part 2: Engagement Photos

We may have missed this by a couple of days, but this engagement photo shoot of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is everything. Honestly, did anyone ever think that it could be a disaster? I know it seems like things are moving fast and that this whole news of their engagement was quick, but we’re obsessed already.

For the shoot, Meghan wore a ballgown from the Ralph & Russo Fall 2016 collection. Their stunning engagement photos were shot by photographer Alexi Lubomirski.
