Sand Dunes on a Montreal Street

The desire for more outdoor spaces is at an all time high. Alongside the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, a massive mural made to look like uneven sand dunes is an eye catching piece. Designed by Canadian architecture firm, NÓS, “Moving Dunes” borders a walkway and features neutral toned lines. It’s clearly a hit with the kids, but adds for a more creative way to your daily walks if you so choose.

I love this view from above, which shows just how massive this piece is.

Planets Are So Hot Right Now

When I was in fifth grade, we had a two-week long project in which we would spend some time learning about planets and deciphering their unique traits. Using the knowledge we had learned, we would watch these interactive videos of talking “probes” trying to discover which planets they had landed on. My group happened to get each probe problem correct so every day, I would come home and tell my mom that I was going to become an astronomer. That was that. I was like – “Yo. I know planets. I’m like super scientific now, can you send me to space camp stat”

When you’re a kid, you think you can have every career in the book. Little did I know… because you just can’t be a blogger/student AND an astronomer these days.

Anyways, long story short – mother never sent me to space camp. I lost interest in becoming an astronomer after the two weeks we spent studying planets were over. I did, however, continue to believe in aliens especially being obsessed with the WB (now CW) show Roswell since it came out around that time. I do sort of believe in UFO’s or that there’s life on other planets and I most definitely still have a little nerd love for the planets.

Stephen Di Donato is a graphic designer out of Montreal who recently created these series of minimalistic planet posters that I am asking for Christmas. View the entire collection here.

Moment Factory

Having my blog hosted by WordPress allows me to view my stats in all sorts of cool ways. Aside from showing me how many visitors I attract every day and what my top posts are, WordPress shows me how people actually get to Itsyowyow.com from other websites. I’ve always had this function, but I didn’t actually notice until last year when I saw that I was getting traffic from this site right here.

How Mr. Perez Hilton found himself on my blog, I’ll never know. Similarly, if he has the same function that I do, he would be seeing that he was getting traffic from my blog as well from all of you that clicked the link above.

Today, I was perusing and found that my blog had been found on a website called Moment Factory. Since I’d never heard of it before, I decided to do a little digging. Moment Factory strives to create “unforgettable moments” through media by outlets including design, public spaces, architecture, performance, technology, emotion, and other elements.

The photographs are from the Nine Inch Nails “Lights in the Sky” tour back in 2009. The Moment Factory had designed the stage and the experience. The Moment Factory is based out of Montreal, Canada and I have no idea where Yow Yow! was found on the website, but whatever, they are right up my alley and I think they’re great!

Rose Boy has been Found!

To see the image more clearly, click it yo!

Apparently last night, a woman named Kim from Montreal recognized the boy as one of her Facebook friends after hearing about Kodak’s plea for a reunion with the kid and Megan Fox. She then sent a message to said kid, Harvii blah blah and 3 emails to Kodak regarding his information.

Way to go Kim! $5000 in your back pocket! Jealous.

and Harvii, I’m sure you will be getting more than just 20 friend requests from now on.
