The Closet: September 2020

[RE/DONE Ribbed Tank] – $80

We don’t believe in no white after Labor Day so here are some favorite pieces included in this post. Also, talk about losing track of time here. It was only today that I realized, I hadn’t posted this and that we were way past due on it. I’ve combed through everything once more just to make sure that these pieces were still available. In the meantime, we’ll get started on October!

[Lulus Picnic Perfect Black and White Gingham Tiered Babydoll Dress] – $49

The Closet: October 2018

Anthropologie Lavinia Fleece Pullover – $128

I have your sweater needs covered. At the start of fall, all I wanted was a sweater refresh for my closet. After a full calendar year of wearing sweaters, I’ve found that sometimes they just don’t fit the way you want them to. They can start to pill. They may become stretched out. Maybe that trendy sweater you purchased wasn’t a good idea and that trend is so far gone it doesn’t make sense to put it on anymore. Whatever the case, each season provides you with plenty of options. I got a little lost in Anthropologie’s website recently and while I didn’t make any purchases, myself, I definitely found a few picks that I would snag. Here are my picks for sweaters and then a little extra. Up next? Our favorite, we’re getting a head start this year on holiday party wear because mine is actually early December!

Anthropologie Marigold Ruffled Kimono – $118

Madewell Teams Up W/ Nordstrom and Net-A-Porter

When I think of Madwell, I am reminded of two things. They’re the sister store of J. Crew and they’re home to some of the most exquisite pieces of denim I’ve ever come across in my life. Full disclosure – I don’t actually own a pair of Madewell denim… yet, but I will someday! I’m saving up! I’ve tried on a couple of pairs in their stores a few times now and each time, I find that they fit like a glove and perfectly which is difficult for me as I’m 5’1 and very petite. Jeans aren’t something that come easy for me which is why I always lean towards dresses and skirts.

Earlier this week, the company announced a major collaboration! They’ll be joining forces with both Nordstrom and Net-A-Porter to sell their pieces with them similar to how there’s a Free People section within Nordstrom’s TBD. Starting February 24th, 70 of Madewell’s pieces can be found on Nordstrom.com with physical pieces being in 15 Nordstrom stores on March 6th. On February 25th, 50 Madwell items will be avaialble for purchase online at Net-A-Porter. I’m pretty excited about this news because sometimes when I want to go shopping at all, I’ll JUST go to a Nordstrom (because it’s like home) so now I don’t need to find myself walking through the mall to get to another Madwell.
