Out on the Town: 8/21

Roller skating rinks were the dances of my elementary school days. Of Montreal is hosting a very special listening party for their new album at the Lynnwood Bowl and Skate [North of Seattle.] Instead of skating to out-dated tunes and doing cliche dance moves, you can skate in style to Of Montreal. Tickets are $7 and include roller skates!

The band won’t be present, but you do get to listen to the album before it comes out on September 14.

Sasquatch

I was too caught up in fashion week that I forgot to post this. The lineup was just announced this week! I’ve never really considered going just because 1) the lineup was never something spectacular to me 2) I don’t like making the trek to the Gorge and 3) Camping is not my thing but there is one reason and one reason only for me to go out to the Gorge that Monday. Bonnaroo

What an amazing lineup. I think I like it even more than Coachella’s. Nothing beats Snoop, GIRL TALK ( I will always love)  Andrew Bird, MGMT, Of Montreal, Jenny Lewis, Santogold, The Ting Tings and Portugal. The Man. All in one place.
