2018 Oscars Red Carpet
Allison Janney in Reem Acra
We made it to the end of award show season! With the way things started last winter and with every single allegation that came up, I was afraid that it was going to put a damper on all of the events. Instead it did the opposite. Sure, it raised awareness, but even more so, it was great to see those using their acceptance speech for something much bigger.

Millie Bobby Brown wearing Calvin Klein
Whenever I get the chance, I always try to watch the earlier showing of the Emmys. How is this thing still three hours long? For the first time in a long time, I actually stayed pretty quiet on social media this time around. We didn’t live tweet the red carpet this year – mainly because I was still watching the Seahawks game during it and we didn’t tweet during the show. Overall, I think the show had a slow start. Stephen Colbert was okay as a host, but the biggest takeaway for me tonight was all of the people recognized. The most exciting part of the awards show was being able to celebrate a more diverse group of winners than ever before. What did everyone else think?

SAG Awards Red Carpet 2017
Millie Bobby Brown in custom Giorgio Armani
How darling is she?! Every time I see her, I see a young Natalie Portman. I’m so excited for the cast of Stranger Things – they took home a big win tonight!
Reem Acra
Pre-Fall 2017 took a brief hiatus over the holidays, but now we’re back and with more collections to share! I’m loving how regal many of these pieces look and how elegant the black and gold combination still is to me.
Golden Globe Awards 2017
Viola Davis in Michael Kors Collection
I spent a great deal of time today glued to my TV. Those hours of the red carpet and the actual award show aren’t hours that I can get back. My two takeaways? Well, I didn’t watch enough good movies in the last year and everyone that tried to pull off a long-sleeved dress this year on the red carpet failed. I did have a couple of favorite looks though and they came from those that surprised me! I always like doing this post the night of the award show so that people can have something to scroll through when morning comes around so with that here are my favorite looks as well as those that missed the mark.
I’m actually tired of this trend with dresses being one shouldered and have been for awhile, however, I love this color on Viola and she looks stunning. I also like that she decided to simplify both her and makeup so that the dress could just do its thing. The head-scratching moment of the night for this dress was when Ryan Seacrest asked her what color her dress was while everyone at home was like “um, can’t you tell what color this is?”
Sarah Jessica Parker wearing Vera Wang
Very rarely am I ever impressed by anything SJP wears. She looks like a marshmallow in this gown and I’m not happy with the way she styled her hair. The only way this look could redeem itself is if it were sleeveless and her hair were let down.

Snaps for a Snapshot
Who: Suki Waterhouse
Wearing: Reem Acra
Where: Insurgent Premiere
I actually didn’t think that I would love this, but somehow when I was looking at all the other looks from the premiere, I kept coming back to this one. Completely fixated on how pretty it was, but also how imperfect and edgy it is at the same time.

Oscars 2015 After Parties
Aaron Paul and Lauren Parsekian
Because sometimes the people that didn’t get invited to the actual event come out dressing better than ever!
