The Kardashian Khristmas Kard 2013

It’s a little funny for me to say that I look forward to the Kardashian Christmas card every year, but that’s because there’s no other Christmas card like it. Each year, it never fails to appear elaborate and slightly ridiculous, but 2013 REALLY takes the cake. In previous years, the clan has just dressed up with some serious background, but this one has a Scott Disick theme written all over it and he’s not even included in the photo. In fact, there are several members missing including the lord himself, Mason, Lamar Odom, and Rob Kardashian. Can we even call this a family Christmas card photo? Where in the world is Kanye?!

For an up close look at what everyone is wearing, click here to see the details via E! It’s not that interesting, but I know y’all are curious.

A Collection Part 38

Happy Mid-September everyone!

It’s amazing how quickly this year has flown by. Even though I’m about to embark on my second year out of school, there’s a part of me that still wants to follow suit in that pattern. I started my first job at the start of fall one year ago and now one year later, I’m doing the same thing again. There was something about the new school year that I loved and it wasn’t just that I had a new set of classes, a new wardrobe, or that I was one step closer to starting THIS current life, but it was the idea of starting the year with a fresh slate – wiping everything clean, getting rid of the old and progressing towards the new. That might be one of the reasons why September is considered more of my new year than January. I always like to start Mondays with reflective posts (besides Wedding Mondays!) so here’s A Collection for you 🙂

Happy Belated Birthday Scott Disick

Our favorite Kardashian Scott Disick turned 30 this weekend! And to celebrate, here is a fantastic photo-shopped photograph of Mason as Scott and vice-versa. I typically will post a picture of Scott Disick on the carousel for his related posts, but this one takes the cake. Actually, this just made my morning.

Mason To Be A Big Brother

Kourtney Kardashian has just announced that her and Scott Disick are expecting a little girl! This will be their second child. The two announced their pregnancy news back in November, but this is the first we are hearing of the sex of the baby.

This is great news and all…but I personally cannot wait to see more Scott Disick on E! We need another season featuring Kourt and Scott stat!

Five Weekend Favorites

1. Home Sweet Homestead! I love being out of the city as much as I love being in it. This weekend, some friends and I took the first weekend back off by staying here at this lovely place. Believe it or not, I actually embraced the adventurous side in me by trampling through the wooded areas and crossing a stream by walking through it with the Hunters. There is really nothing better than being in such a beautiful place with great company.

2. I’m not sure what it is about a grilled cheese and creamy tomato soup, but this meal always makes me pass out. It’s not exactly the the meal I would want to be eating before tackling pages upon pages of reading…but it is what it is.

3. I have a hard time saying “no” to marathons. Even though I watched the entire “Lying Game” marathon last week, I went for round two on the Soap Network today.

4. Even though today was a little bit of a struggle getting back into the swing of things with school, I secretly enjoy it. I love taking notes. I love reading my management text books and am looking forward to some of the projects we might be having later on in the quarter. I can’t help it – deep down I am slightly nerdy.

5. Last year, I mentioned on Yow Yow! that I had started working with an artist in Seattle and to kick off the new year, Taylor not only performed her first show in 2012 on Friday, but she put out an album! This has been a very exciting time for both of us, but even more for Taylor. I’m so proud of the work she has done and I cannot wait to see what is in store for her in 2012. The album will soon be released on iTunes, Spotify and a number of other outlets and once that happens, I will be sure to write another post about it.

and a bonus…

Scott Disick becomes more and more of a fan favorite with every Kardashian episode being aired. Truth.

In Things That Could Grow On Me In 2012…

I can’t even believe that I am saying this, but Scott Disick could very well become my new favorite person in 2012. This year, one of my favorite blogs, Ohnotheydidnt, had their users vote in the “Best of ONTD” awards and Scott Disick won for being the celebrity users used to hate but now love because of ONTD. I don’t know about you guys, but I think I’m going to trust the masses on this one.

Also in the last few episodes of Kourtney and Kim take New York, Scott has really been stepping up his game in becoming a standout character. The Shabbat dinner that he organized for his family was so sweet and in the latest episode he made an impulse buy on a piano that he doesn’t even know how to play. Some may call that a little reckless, but I see it as being a hilariously grand gesture.

Kardashian Kristmas Kard 2011

This family. Love it. Too bad Hump Hump didn’t make the cut in the end.

Who’s excited for Kendall’s Sweet Sixteen tonight?!

2 Quarters Left

I was about to write an “In the News…” post tonight, but there really isn’t much news to announce except that Kourtney Kardashian is pregnant again! Her and Scott Disick are expecting their second child and she is nine weeks along. I will continue to watch the shows on E! but I don’t really care too much about what’s going on in their lives and their scandals. Here’s an obligatory Scott Disick photo:

What I actually want to talk about is school. When I was a kid, my parents told me that college was going to be the hardest four years of my life. It was all that they instilled in me – that it was going to be 10x harder than anything I ever did in high school and that life in general was just going to be challenging. So when I would come home to tell them that I slept three hours one night or pulled an all nighter, they would look at me with wide eyes and say, “You need to sleep! It’s unhealthy for someone your age to be up that late – why do you do that?!” I would argue, “BUT YOU TOLD ME TO WORK HARD! Isn’t this what you were asking for?” It’s hitting me that these are the last few times that I’ll take two midterms in one day, that I’ll give a presentation in the morning and take a final in the afternoon or that I will cram 15 pages of notes in 30 minutes. After almost four years, I’ve come to the realization that working this hard for school doesn’t excite me…at all – but it is rewarding. I just think I’d rather spend my life working this hard for something I’m passionate about instead. What I want to know is…Mom and Dad – why didn’t you tell me that college was going to be fun, too?

On a lighter note, this fall quarter was extremely fun! I decided that at the end of the school year, I will be recapping my entire college career “by the numbers” along with some other end of school related posts. This quarter, I am grateful to be working with such wonderful people, spending  my time building a community within my major and taking on this persona of Space Girl among other things that I can’t remember right now because last night I got four hours of sleep.

PS. My pinterest is updated every Thursday! If you have an account, feel free to follow.
