Pacifica’s Taco Bell Is Officially Remodeled

On a recent outing to Half Moon Bay, Kevin’s only wish was a trip to the Taco Bell Cantina on the ride home. To our dismay, when we arrived it was completely fenced up for remodeling. As of today, the remodel is done and the restaurant is back open for business! Though I haven’t been here personally, I’m pretty sure it’s the nicest Taco Bell to ever exist. Not only is it beachside, but it’s one of the few Taco Bells that serves alcohol – a rare commodity. How can you not have your nachos with a cold beer or a glass of wine though?

2018 Best Nine

We haven’t even hit Christmas yet, but I thought I would get a head start on some of the roundup posts I usually save for closer to New Year’s. My first thought when I saw this was that these aren’t even my favorite outfits! Like last year, this year’s current nine is outfit heavy. My first observation is that we’ve included two selfies from when I’ve tried on clothes at Aritzia. For years, I’ve read articles where selfies tend to do very well on Instagram or on dating profiles and I never could wrap my head around this. I prefer non-selfie photos of those I follow on Instagram way more than selfies, but what do you know – the data has spoken.

Another photo in this mix – smack dab in the center – wasn’t even taken in 2018. That’s simply a reminder to myself to make sure I’m posting with a relevant time period! And if I had to pick a favorite, well, I think y’all know. It’s obviously the one where my prop is a Taco Bell bag and my literal lunch for that day.

PARTY by Taco Bell

Even if I can’t participate, I don’t believe in withholding information that could be useful to my readers. First off, is this the cast of Vanderpump Rules in this photo? I only recognize the 4 in the front row – who are the others?

At select Taco Bell locations, the chain is now hosting your own private parties! It’s almost like they read my mind because my next birthday party is going to be at a fast food chain restaurant. From now until December 22nd, you can host a party and it can be for whatever occasion you want. Here are the details:

Capacity: VIP seating for 2-10 people.

Price: Starts at $25 and includes reserved seating in a participating restaurant and a Taco Bell® Party Décor Kit for one hour on select weekends.

Taco Bell Party Décor Kit: 1 table runner, 10 paper plates, 1 photo prop kit. The decor kits are available in two designs: Feeling Luxe and Feeling Electric.

Food: Not included, but a team member will help you order food once you’re there. They suggest a Taco Party Pack, naturally.

Participating locations: Cleveland, OH, New York, NY, Bakersfield, CA, Brea, CA, Dale City, VA, Newport Beach, CA, Dallas, TX, Rock Hill, SC, Flat Rock, MI and Ocoee, FL.

Is your location not listed? Don’t worry, you can bring the party to you by ordering the Taco Bell Party Decor Kits at TacoBellParty.Com.

You can customize your party and add hot sauce packet balloons to your package for $16. There are Mild, Hot, and Fire sauce balloons available. You can also add on additional tableware, party sunglasses, more photo props, and Taco Bell gift cards. Make a reservation today!

WHAT A DEAL, honestly!

Taco Bell Take Out

Top – Everlane / Skort and Coat – Aritzia

Would you believe that 2017 was the year that I had my first taste of Taco Bell?! We were celebrating our CEO’s birthday and what he wanted was a ton of Taco Bell tacos delivered to us. Not one to turn down food, I sampled the Soft Taco Supreme (ground beef) and found joy. For as long as I have grown up in the North West, I’ve been loyal to Taco Time. I still am to this day, but if Taco Time isn’t here, am I wrong for trying to find an alternative? I think not. I feel blessed that there was a Taco Bell located just around the corner from our office which made it a great option when I was in a pinch for lunch.

Was this Taco Bell bag prop intentional? You bet it was. Was my actual lunch in there? Two soft taco supremes and a side of chips and nacho cheese, jealous?

In What Not To Do At Work Today…

Silly prank?

More like fired for prank.

This Taco Bell employee was recently fired for snapping a photo of him licking the franchise’s taco shells while working and posting it online. Is it time for people to take social media etiquette classes now?

Scratch that – I mean this isn’t just a social media issue, it’s a health issue above anything else, but c’mon he had to know this was coming.

Taco Bell released this statement today in regards to terminating the employee for this scandalous photo.

Taco Bell released a statement on Tuesday that the employee is in the process of being terminated from his employment.

Our franchisee is responsible for the employment and conduct of his restaurant’s employees and he has informed us that he immediately suspended the employee shown in the photo and is in the process of terminating his employment. The employee who took the photo no longer works there. As we complete our investigation we will work with our franchisee to implement any additional action we find appropriate to address this situation and ensure it never happens again.

Out on the Town: 3/8

This isn’t really an Out on the Town post, but this is happening today and it involves food. I like food so… [these logic statements are specifically for Veronica cause she thinks my logic is solid.] Taco Bell will be rolling out their new Doritos Locos Tacos today and apparently this is life changing! I don’t usually eat at Taco Bell because I’ve been a Taco Time girl for too many years, but even I would try this.

Not planning on sleeping? Watch the countdown here.

Skins received a great deal of attention this past week through the media and from the premiere of their first episode. Those that had never seen Skins before may have been shocked, but those who had seen the UK version probably did nothing more than shrug their shoulders.

The series was meant to be a controversial and racy show. That was the way that it was intended. At times you would be forgiven for thinking you were accidentally watching a film on an adult website such as collegeporn.xxx. There was no doubt in my mind that parents would be in a frenzy after the show premiered. There is a solution for all of this, you know… um don’t let your kids watch it. I get it. Parents are worried that their hormonal teenagers will be inspired by the show and act out, but everyone in the UK has been just fine – for the most part! Television is television and if people can’t distinguish between acting and reality…well there are therapists for that. I think the real reason why parents are upset is because they may be in denial. Your kids may or may not be participating in some of the acts on the show, but somewhere out there a parent’s teenager definitely is.

The creators of the series have been honest from the start. They’ve given everyone fair warning from their ads to their promos, to the disclosure at the beginning of the series. At some point, you’re just going to have to let things be and accept it. If the show is not for you, then turn the channel.

On another note, I’d like to discuss my thought about the first episode.

It mirrored the first episode in the UK series pretty well. It was funny, witty, charming, but I cannot wait for them to diverge from the original story line. Like Kaya, I also wish that Eura (Effy) looked like Effy. The Eura they picked probably should’ve been cast as Katie (Cassie). Was that confusing? The music selected for the show – fantastic. I’m glad they are keeping in line with the original. For some reason when I watch this new cast, I imagine them with accents because I just can’t wrap my head around the fact that they actually have an American version of this show. All in all, I’m pretty excited over it, but more so for UK series 5. I think people are overreacting over the show though because there hasn’t been nudity shown and most swear words have been blocked out. You think this is scandalous? Try watching the UK verison, it makes MTV’s take on it look like Full House.

Taco Bell Tour Diet

Not everyone can have meals prepared for them every night by caterers like Lady Gaga. In reality, musicians and bands eat a whole lot of crap. They are practically living out of their van surviving on snacks and having meals at all of the fast food restaurants along the way. As we all know, eating out isn’t cheap and being a musician doesn’t bring in the scrill.

Taco Bell has launched a new campaign called, “Feed The Beat,” which helps out certain bands with their meals on the road with a $500 gift certificate to the fast food chain. Which bands have been nomming on Taco Bell this year? The list includes Best Coast, 2AM Club, Passion Pit, Tokyo Police Club, and many more.
