The music festival released their entire lineup this morning via a full-page ad in the New York Times. Old school, we respect it. As expected, we knew that Outkast would be on the lineup, but there are also some other artists that we are dying to see: Papa, Banks, Janelle Monae, The 1975, and the RETURN of Foster the People. Overall this lineup is amazing. If Bumbershoot or Block Party had the same one, I would buy my tickets in a heart beat.
Tickets go on sale today at 3PM.

This summer will mark the first year and debut for New York’s newest music festival, The Governors Ball. Tickets will begin selling on Thursday at 10AM for the festival on Saturday, June 18 on Governor’s Island. I can dig the lineup so far, but I’m wondering who else will confirm in the next couple of months. For a first time festival, it’s not bad.
Confirmed are: Girl Talk, Pretty Lights, Empire of the Sun, Big Boi of Outkast, Neon Indian, People Under the Stairs, Passion Pit (DJ set,) Mac Miller, Miami Horror, Outasight, and Reptar.
The best part of the festival? No overlapping sets! I suppose that’s one of the perks to having a smaller festival because having to pick, choose, and make sacrifices is the absolute worst.
