When it comes to gifts, I usually don’t have a hard time picking something out for the people I care about the most. I think over the years, I’ve sort of compiled a list of places that provide universally GREAT gifts – things that most people will enjoy no matter what. This week, I came across Oh Joy’s curated gifts through Brit + Co and we pretty much want everything. Who cares about passing it onto others?! Can’t we just keep these things for ourselves? The Luna Lamp

For as long as I’ve known, I’ve always been a kid that was obsessed with the moon. So when I saw this AMAZING lamp the other day on Cool Material, I thought hmm now wouldn’t this be cool in my apartment. However, I think it’s like too cool for my apartment actually.

Made by Taiwanese design firm, Acorn Studio, this lamp is way cooler and more hip than any other floor lamp you’ve ever owned. Although on saying that, there are some pretty cool and elegant floor lamps that you can get for your home. Actually, I might have a look at getting some for my other rooms, just to add a bit of extra light. But this Luna Lamp is definitely on my wishlist, so before I do anything else, I will be looking to get my hands on this lamp.

Moon shaped lamps are so unique and they also make fantastic gifts. One of my friends actually bought his girlfriend a moon lamp that was custom printed with a photo of the two of them together. He told me that there are some great websites out there nowadays where you can Put (Photo, Text, Pattern) On The Moon Light to make it a little more personalized. The next time I need to buy someone a gift I think I will definitely consider buying a custom moon lamp.

Anyway, the Luna Lamp comes in seven different sizes and receives its beautiful glow through energy efficient LED bulbs which have a lifespan of 10 years. You’re going to have this lamp fo’ life! Mother’s Day is right around the corner and I wish I could say that when it came to presents for my mother, I was always nailing it. The truth is this – she loves the Tieks and that’s a sure thing, always! This year though, I’d like to get a little bit more creative with my gifts so I’ve been doing some research and came across these three lovely Mother’s Day Boxes from Waffles & Honey. The Closet: December 2014

Typically I publish this list a week or so before Christmas since Kevin has said that he has used it for inspiration when shopping for presents for me in the past, but this year we just went straight to it and told each other what we wanted. This post is extremely accessory/jewelry heavy which is completely new for me, but with 2015 just around the corner, I figured – why not? I’m probably not going to get any of the things on this list, but I’m very much okay with it. Adult me needs to save $$$ anyways.

Earlier this week, I donned a black knitted hat with my outfit that hugged the back of my head perfectly. Granted, this is the first time of the fall season that I’ve worn a hat so I shouldn’t be surprised by the reactions I received by my co-workers, but I totally was.

“Oh hey! Hat!”

“Whoa, you look good today.”

“You should wear hats more.”

So I got to thinking – what other hats could I branch out into. I’ve always wanted to own a beanie, but I felt kind of weird about it because I had side bangs and trying to manage them under a hat was a little bit tricky. I saw this one by Wilfred at Arizia this past weekend in Vancouver and while it was a price that I would not normally pay for a hat, I knew I was going to get a lot of use of it. It started with me wearing it right out of the store and the rest of my day trip.
