Diane Kruger in Prabal Gurung
After the Met Ball, this might be the second best dressed night during the year.
Anna Wintour in Chanel – she hosted the whole thang so she had to be first.
It killed me that I couldn’t post every look and have this ready to go for you all this morning! I was so excited to see some of the looks from the Met Gala yesterday evening and then a part of me knew that I would hate some looks as well. With the theme being, “China: Through the Looking Glass,” I was concerned that there would be jabs poked at stereotypes and Asian trends that would make me cringe. Of course there were, but like all things, we have to move on and not dwell on them. In the interest of saving time (and space!) I am choosing not to include looks that I felt were in poor taste.
She kind of looks unrecognizable in this spread. I can’t put my finger on it.

The red carpet is something that I always look forward to around award show season, but second in line to that is definitely the after party. Most celebrities have a second dress for the event and needless to say, we’re always interested in seeing second looks that aren’t as tame as the first one. Plus, we get to see a whole lot of celebrities that only get invited to the after party and not the award show itself. Sad day for them.
By accident, I had a Vanessa Hudgens themed weekend first by catching High School Musical on Saturday and Beastly on Sunday. Vanessa has had quite an interesting career coming from a Disney background all the way up to the very controversial Spring Breakers in 2013 and a scandal wedged in between, but regardless of that scandal, she’s done her best I think to make sure that it doesn’t define her. I haven’t read about any of her latest projects, but I’m always excited to see what she’ll be coming out with. If being in the film industry doesn’t work out for her, she’ll still probably make it as a style icon, which she’s done pretty well with so far.
We don’t know where this photo shoot came from or what it’s for, but we really like it.

It’s just one of those nights where everyone seems to be “Best Dressed.” We’ve covered some of my favorite looks, but not all of them because there’s so many! For the rest, please click the source below. All are from Style.com, of course.
We’re not sure if Baby V has any upcoming projects, but we like the look of this spread! She could definitely have a longer-lasting career, but maybe she will try new things…that aren’t in the same realm of Spring Breakers
I love seeing the difference in A Collection posts between seasons. With summer, there is so much light in these photos, the idea that we have the capacity to do anything, and some weight lifted off our shoulders. I have so much hope for the rest of 2013 and my hope is that it will be better! I hope you all have a lovely weekend and that these photos can do their best to inspire beauty and life into you!
“What exactly did I just watch?” was the question that I had for myself leaving the movie theater. I don’t know what I was thinking, but I thought Spring Breakers would have some aspects of comedy in it. It was not funny at all though. I guess that was just silliness on my part though – the move was directed by Harmony Korine after all. Now, I never saw “Kids,” but I certainly know enough about it to know that Selena Gomez wasn’t going to resemble anything like her Disney Channel characters. The movie was pretty indie and mesmerizing in an intoxicating dazed kind of a way. I was drawn to the neon lights and the style of filming, but there were times when I started to feel dizzy. That also could have been from my medication or my appetite though.
Here are some takeaways:
Readers, if you’ve seen Spring Breakers, what were your thoughts?
