Awkwafina talking about her “type” is exactly how I talk about my type.

The word “permanent” has always been a low key fear for me. It’s one of the reasons why I could never get a tattoo. I’m a girl that likes my flexibility and maybe to an extent – my own sense of control. I’ve been a longtime fan of Catbird jewelry for some time, but my ears perked up when I heard their idea of “permanent jewelry.” It couldn’t possibly mean that jewelry was getting tattooed on, right? Of course not.
For just $94, Catbird’s “Welding Annex” will weld on a very tiny gold chain onto your arm. It’s so light and delicate that you may not even notice it there. So is it as permanent as it sounds? I suppose if you had changed your mind, there are ways of getting it off, but it’s not like your average bracelet that you can remove at the end of the night. I love the idea of a welded bracelet, but only if it’s something sentimental that I know I’ll keep on for a very long time. Readers, would you try it?

Somewhere along the way, Vogue got really good at making video content. I first started taking notice when they did 73 questions with different celebrities around their homes, but now I’m starting to venture into other material like this one that claims it’s 24 hours with Cole Sprouse. It’s not really because how can 24 hours get crammed into nearly two and a half minutes? Yet, I watched it anyways! I’m loving these pieces because I think Vogue has always had a reputation of being structured – maybe that’s Anna Wintour, maybe it’s not. They’ve been considered pretty serious, but these bite-sized pieces are incredibly fun and cheeky. It’s completely changing the way I perceived Vogue growing up and that. is. huge.
We also just love Cole Sprouse. I pretty much adored him since episode one of Riverdale when I immediately began shipping him and Betty. Imagine my shock when I found out they were dating IRL. Complete amazement.

Last week, San Francisco’s Everlane opened up their first permanent New York store in the Nolita neighborhood. Here’s what you’ll find: puffers, denim, millennial pink, and the ultimate minimalist style that defines 2017. Earlier this year, I discovered that my office was within walking distance of the Everlane Lab (not quite as large as this store) but even still, it was a dangerous routine and habit that I kept up for weeks.
I’ve known about Everlane since it first began back in 2011, but it wasn’t until this year that I bought my first piece – a striped long sleeved tee that I wore every week for a month. The pieces are simple, but functional. Most importantly, they are affordable. They’re the basics that you need, but want to have in every color.
There’s a piece about Everlane though that separates it from being just a normal retailer. In San Francisco, many consider it to be its own startup because of how tech is immersed into it. What that means is that shopping at this Everlane location won’t be like a normal shopping experience. Here you’ll have a chance to learn how one of their tees are made via headphones in the store and have shopping made easier and more convenient with your credit cards on file from your previous purchases.
For many early adopters of Everlane, the assumption was that it would always be an online retailer. Why the change to a physical store? Founder Michael Preysman explains:
“The original idea was that we would never do stores,” he admitted. “But when you’re in the online-only world, you can’t bring people into your space and your brand the same way you can with a physical store, where it feels transparent, open, and honest. So we wanted to bring the brand to life and be part of people’s lives in a more meaningful way.”
“People do want to try things on,” Preysman said. “Having them come in and touch the product and talk to employees makes such a difference. We started out with T-shirts, which are really easy to buy online, but denim in particular is really hard to shop for [without trying it on]. So this is perfect timing.”
You can find Everlane at 28 Prince Street.
Waking up to the news of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle being engaged was the best news of yesterday morning. I actually was planning on writing a post last night after watching the full interview between the two of them, but was fan-girling out way too hard to keep my composure even in writing. It also meant that I had some extra time to do more reading on the news so that I could include extra links to better support this post. Say what you want about this engagement, but I haven’t spoken to a single person who isn’t obsessed with them especially more so now after this news has broken out. I’ll admit, I don’t know everything about Prince Harry, but I’ve been a fan of Meghan Markle’s since episode one of Suits. To top it off, not only is she beautiful and intelligent, but she’s a talented actress who also ran her own lifestyle blog and does so much more beyond that. Meghan Markle will be a great role model (if she isn’t considered one already) and while I know there has been a lot of criticism directed towards her, I don’t think any of those are actually that relevant – do you? 🙂
We’re in love with them. Emoji. Heart eyes.
Also in case you’ve been living under a rock and have no idea how this relationship escalated so quickly, here’s a great recap of their timeline from Vogue.

It may be fall everywhere else in the world, but southern California is still experiencing 95 degree weather and yesterday’s outfit choices in LA for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Show prove it. The finalists from the competition showcased at Chateau Marmont in front of a panel of judges and in attendance for the event were some of our favorite celebrity icons and even those that are style icons in the making. Here are some of our favorite looks:
Were any of us really this cool at 16? If you’ve been living under a rock or whatever – don’t care that much about what’s happening with fashion week, then let us introduce you to Kaia Gerber. It’s her very first Fashion Week walking down the runway, but not her first time modeling. If you’re wondering why she looks so familiar and recognize that charm of hers, it’s because she takes it straight from her mother – the iconic Cindy Crawford. Every year, there’s always a new model on the rise to watch and this year it’s her. Move over Kendall, Gigi, Bella, and Hailey, everyone’s falling in love with Kaia.
