Snaps for a Snapshot

Who: Cara Delevingne

Wearing: Dolce & Gabbana suit; Dior corset; Christian Louboutin shoes

Where: 2020 American Music Awards red carpet

My favorite part of this is the neutral corset. It’s so subtle, but incredibly elegant at the same time. I also love that she didn’t go for a bright or deep red for her lips and really like the violet hue for her eyes. Cara’s stylist needs a raise.

Snaps for a Snapshot

Who: Nicole Richie

Wearing: Christian Siriano

Where: 2020 Billboard Music Awards

As I mentioned in a previous post, awards shows in 2020 are so weird right now. However, even though some presenters were on site for the show, not everyone looked as good as Nicole. I love the balance between elegance and sexy-ness being both black and with the cutouts.

The Closet: July 2020

[Free People Lou Jean Babydoll Dress] – $128

With just a few more weeks of summer left (can you believe it?!) it’s tough to know what to shop for. Do we continue to buy summer wear and hope for clearance or do we begin prepping for fall? San Francisco summers make it hard to decipher. In this week alone, I found myself purchasing a swimsuit that I may not use this season and a half-zip long sleeved sweater. It’s clear that we are also still trying to figure this out. This month’s post teeters on both seasons if you’re like us and can’t make up your mind. For once, it also has a hearty mix of accessories along with it!

Princess Beatrice Marries in Vintage

Princess Beatrice may not have gotten the media treatment Meghan Markle did for her wedding day, but she showed us why she deserves just as much attention. Over the weekend, Princess Beatrice married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in an intimate ceremony at The Royal Chapel of All Saints in Windsor. Wearing a vintage dress that once belonged to the Queen, Princess Beatrice was radiant. The tiara, beaded detailing and puff sleeves prove that vintage is, and always will be, timeless. The gown, made by Norman Hartnell, was worn by the queen on two occasions. Making its first appearance in 1961, the Queen chose this piece for a state dinner in Rome. The gown made its second showing at the premiere of “Lawrence of Arabia” the following year in 1962.

Similar to Meghan Markle, Princess Beatrice also “borrowed” her tiara from the Queen as well. Here’s a photo of the Queen wearing that same exact dress back in 1962. Princess Beatrice clearly made some alterations to the dress, but we can tell that it’s still the same foundation. We love the modern enhancements she took with it!

2020 Oscars After Parties

Hailey Bieber in Versace

I might be in a minority camp here, but I honestly love the after party looks way more than the main event itself. Why, do you ask? Have you seen the looks that show up after the award show ends for the night? Every celebrity comes out and it’s a much bigger pool when you include those that aren’t nominated. Even those that were at the actual award show will come donning a second look. Plus, because the after party isn’t necessarily televised everything is just a little bit more sheer and with a little less fabric. These looks are fun, sexy, and ones that we all wish we could pull off.

Trust me when I tell you that everyone was here and we wanted to capture everything in this post, but because of the volume it was slowing down the loading of creating this.

Chrissy Teigen in Georges Hobeika and John Legend
